One Choice Under Stress

Focus: Concentrated effort or attention on a particular thing

Teaching women to place their thoughts on heavenly things. We have a tendency to dwell on our problems. At F.O.C.U.S. you will learn how to change your thought process from dwelling on your problems to switching your thought process to the things of God and His Kingdom. Ask yourself, “Do I focus more on myself and my problems, or do I focus more on the things of God?”

Colossians 3:2 Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth. NLT

One - A single thing or unit, and not two or more

It is impossible to think on two (2) things simultaneously. You will learn how to practically, use the tools, in order to think upon the Kingdom of God.

No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other… Luke 16:13 NLT

Choice - A decision to choose one thing, person, or course of action in preference to others

I must make a choice. Will I think on my circumstances, or the things of God? You have a choice NOT to sin. Are you going to do things His way or continue doing things your way? You will learn that you have other choices, so that you can make positive choices and have meaningful relationships.

…choose today whom you will serve. Joshua 24:15

Under - To express the concept of being beneath or below something

Do I want to be beneath or above my problematic circumstances?

The lord will conquer your enemies when they attack you. They will attack you from one direction, but they will scatter from you in seven! Deuteronomy 28:7 NLT

Stress - Mental, emotional, or physical strain caused by anxiety or overwork

The burdens I carry are causing stress in all areas of my life. You will learn to experience inner peace regardless of your circumstances.

Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him For the help of His countenance. Psalm 42:5 NKJV
